This travels through some not-so-nice parts of Los Angeles. If you are traveling with luggage, using a taxi or Uber/Lyft vehicle is advisable.
Los Angeles Freeways
Los Angeles’ extensive freeway system is often the most direct — but not necessarily the fastest — means of travel. All the major (and many minor) car rental companies are represented at LAX Airport. To travel to the Long Beach Convention Center, go south on the San Diego Freeway (405) to the Long Beach Freeway (710). Continue south on the Long Beach Freeway to the Downtown Exits. 710 then becomes Shoreline Drive. Follow Shoreline Drive to Linden Avenue.
California has some of the highest gasoline prices in the nation. As of March 2018, the average price of a liter (1/4 gallon) of regular octane gas is US$0.84 (€0.68).
Parking at the Convention Center lot is $15 per day. Free and reduced-rate parking spaces are available within blocks of the Convention Center. Check out the Long Beach Parking website for parking facilities and costs.
